New to the wiki system? Here is a small guide on how to create pages and use Wiki links to link to other pages of YouWiki, as well as use other wiki coding to make beautiful and usable pages.

[edit] Titles

To make a title you put ==*insert title here*== on its own line. Depending on the amount of = signs you use on each side of the title text, the size of the title will be altered. The more = signs you use, the smaller the heading will be.

[edit] Links

To make links to other pages, you use the [[*insert page name here*]] code. This is used for linking to other pages in the YouWiki site, for example, a link to the musician Foetus will be coded with a simple [[Foetus]]. If I wanted the link to go to the Foetus page, but for the text to look like Foetus' side project, Manorexia, I would type [[Foetus|Manorexia]]. It would look like this: Manorexia.

Links to external sites are done by using only one bracket. For example, a link to http://www.4chan.org would be coded [http://www.4chan.org]. If I wanted the text to say 4chan, I would code it [http://www.4chan.org 4chan].

FOETUS

Pictures are first uploaded before their code is directly used to show images. The image you see on your right is used by the code [[Image:Foetus.jpg|thumb|right|250px|FOETUS]]

Basically, the code I just put in contains the following:

[[*image name*|*picture border*|*positioning*|*size*|*caption*]] Excluding any one of these will still make the image work perfectly (albeit the actual image name).

Note: When uploading images, you should usually do it with intent to use it on the wiki. Otherwise, categorize them with a category relevant to your topic or user.

[edit] Content

Usually you want to have a good amount of relevant content. Jokes are allowed, of course, but swearing is distasteful :( Just make sure your work isn't flavourless and humourless. If it is overly offensive, it will be removed.
