Jamiroquai

Jamiroquai is a legendary grammy award winning music band. They are headed by the amazingly talented and funky Jay Kay, who sings, writes and coordinates the music talent in the band. They have switched styles and genres over the time they have played since 1992. Their genre resumé includes acid jazz, funk, pop, rock and electronica.
Jamiroquai started in 1992 when Jay Kay auditioned for the Brand New Heavies and was unsuccessful. In response, he decided to start his own band on the acid jazz label. Seemed like a good move, as Jamiroquai, despite his anti-war music, has sold over a million units alone in the United States.
Jamiroquai released Emergency on Planet Earth in 1992, receiving mixed reviews, the album not selling well in the US because of its anti-war protests. Since those dark days, Jamiroquai has come through to create some brilliant and thriving music from many genres.
