Magnetic levitation is an application of magnetic repulsion, most notably used for mag-lev trains. Magnetic levitation is a result of superdiamagnetism, where the current induced by a magnet remains in a superconductor indefinitely due to its lack of resistance, producing an equal and opposite magnetic field to that of the magnetic source.
