Rocket-building is a popular hobby amongst model builders. It involves the construction of a missile that is propelled through gas/liquid ejection from the nozzle, which causes a reaction force thrusting the projectile skyward.

These are a (relatively) safe form of rocket-building which involves a pressurised vessel containing water and air. The air pressure ejects the water at speed, causing the rocket to take off.
