So, Unicycle Gridiron is pretty much what you would expect. Gridiron on unicycles. it's performed in teams of 3v3, 4v4 or more, and involves the gridiron goal of taking the ball to the end zone (n-zone), done on a unicycle. The goal can be accomplished by knocking the opposing players out of play, or alternately throwing the ball to a receiving player, who will then continue past the opposing players line of defense to enter the End zone. This can be done in a set of 3 attempts.

[edit] Basic Rules

[edit] Positions in Play

[edit] Positions in the attacking side

  • Quarterback- starts off with the ball and, depending on the play, attempts the end zone by himself of passes it to a teammate to do accomplish it for him.
  • Receiver- recieves the ball from the Quarterback in an attempt to avoid the usually difficult defense of the opposing team.
  • Blocker- has a main aim of taking the defensive players out, and usually aims to defend the Quarterback in the time it takes for him to throw the ball to a reciever.

[edit] Positions in the defending side

  • Sack- Rushes forward in an attempt to sack the QB, or at leased put him/her under the pressure of throwing a misjudged throw.
  • Intercept- The players who place themselves in the positions to either intercept a QB throw, or tackle the receiver before/after he catches the ball.
  • Sweep- In the event a receiver or a QB breaks the defense, this player is the last line of defense, and has the task of disrupting the play just infront of the end zone.

[edit] Rules regarding contact

Unicycle Gridiron allows most contact (ie. pushing, charging) with the excepting of punching, striking and holding the player. All attempts to knock the player off their unicycle must be done so without holding them as a support to your own balance. When a player falls off his unicycle, they are omitted from the rest of the attempt, which ends when the attacking team reaches the end zone, or the attacking player with the ball has fallen off their unicycle. The definition of a player who has fallen is when any part of their body touches the ground, be it their head, hand or butt, but most commonly their feet.
