Urban Dead

Urban Dead or UD is a browser-based zombie apocalypse MMORPG. It is a low-spec game which can be played by the simplest of computers and involves turn-based action, in a war between humans and the undead. Since there are no NPC's, all players in Urban Dead are in fact played by real players all over the world.

The game basically consists of a minimap, a description for the location your character is standing in, and actions the character can take. Depending on your surroundings, the actions may be to shoot a zombie, or run to another hiding place. A human can go inside buildings. Theoretically, once a human finds a building and goes inside he is safe. That is, unless, zombies break in and attack.

The nature of the games for humans is to barricade areas and keep Malton (the city in which the game is based) safe. For zombies, it is to achieve the exact opposite.

For such a simplistic game, UD has a ridiculously large wiki. It includes all known groups, game changes, users, danger reports and other helpful information. It is usually filled with horrid red tape and lots of conservative know-alls, like most wikis.

Some see UDWiki as a scaled-down model of society, in which one can witness the processes of politics, democracy, dictatorial coups, turf wars, propaganda, and elections.

Most people who play Urban Dead are either retarded or tryhards. Which is often why it is so fun to kill them, or eat them (if you are a zombie).
