Becoming a User
- YouWiki is waiting for your input!
- If you would like to become involved in YouWiki, simply get an account. It's a whole lot of fun!!!.
- You can have your own custom user page and custom talk page (check out those existing profiles here.)
- Chat with your friends.
- Edit sites as you see fit (but please don't be a vandal)
- Lurk the recent changes page for the latest goss, or even add it as an RSS feed as your Live Bookmarks etc.
Once you're a user...
Once you're a user, you're probably best off doing the following:
- Check out New User to help familiarise yourself with the wiki
- Learn how to edit pages.
- Surf through our categories and familiarise yourself with the category system, as well as articles in general.
- Get editing! If you don't know where to start, have a look at this list of things to do:
Things to do
If you want to start editing something, but you're not sure what to edit, check out some of these places where your contribution will be greatly apprectiated:
- Special:Wantedpages - to create pages that have been linked to but don't exist yet
- Special:Wantedcategories - to create categories that have been linked to but don't exist yet
- Special:Uncategorizedpages - to give categories to pages
- Special:Shortpages - to see articles which need expanding
- Special:Lonelypages - to see a list of pages which have no links leading to them
- Special:Preferences - to change your user prefs
Making your own project page/s
We love getting new projects and groups involved in our wiki, so, if you're interested, you can very easily create your own category/categories and pages about your interest. To learn more on this, go to Help:Editing.

What not to do
If you request an account you agree to the following:
- Not to vandalise the website
- Not to include inappropriate content in your edits
- Not to plagiarise.
They're not very difficult things to remember, however we expect courtesy to readers and other users.
